Default Downtown cam on the move today

Should be a full day today: close on new office, move to new office, network new office, DSL should hopefully switch over at any time today, current downtown cam goes still, unbolt the cam, install at new office.

Our new office is the next building on the right after the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant (it's the old "River Shack"), so a 'new' cam (askacam.com) will have views of the Aska Road/Shallowford Bridge/Toccoa River area.

Since I have a few offers to host it, looks like the downtown cam (blueridgewebcam.com) will most likely remain somewhere downtown. Regrettably, it will be frozen-in-time for a week or two because I'm busy with this move and want to scout out the best possible location for the downtown cam. Plus I'm waiting for a cam to return from warranty-work anyway; I need this one for surveillance purposes at our new office now. Security first from day one.

Default big move

Kip,
I wish I could be there to help out with the move.
Here’s a list of equipment you guys need to have at your new (work?) location: swim suits, tubes / kayaks, fishing poles, sun tan lotion, beach chair’s, sun glasses, hat, cooler, etc.

Its about 97 degrees in the shade down here in Miami, with 99% humidity. Pool parties have moved to the evenings. Cheers!!!
Your friend,
Guy

Default Thanks

Guy and Kip
Thanks for both your efforts on the river cam. Guy and my little lady grew up on the river, we are several bends down river. Even though we can't be there as much as we would like. its very relaxing to be able to pull up the rivercam and see how the river is doing. Thanks again.
Vern

We have everything but the tubes! This place is great; we love it out here (spent the last 2 nights here). DSL didn't make the promised Friday turn-on so we're just watching the cars go by (currently poaching the neighbor's wireless). Thanks for the call about Eli; it really means a lot Guy.

We're really looking forward to getting to know the river crew. Feel like we've been missing out on something.
