So you don't have a downtown webcam to look at. Get over it and enjoy the other views we have been given. I personally enjoy his other cameras. Yes it was nice to see downtown but I now enjoy watching the birds on his feedcam. I can see how serious the drought is when I look at the lakecam. I will really enjoy watching the Askacam this summer when there will be people going down the river but enjoy the views right now. As for the river cam this is a special place for me and my family. This is our place on the river and we get to get a view of home everyday when we are not there. It also has a special meaning since when it was installed over the summer my sister-in-law came over with the kids and my brother who was in Afghanistan at the time was able to see them playing in the river. So even if we can't have the downtown cam there is still so much we are able to enjoy even if we are not there personally. Thanks Kip for all you have done and keep up the good work. Merry Christmas to all.

Well, I think the man should stop saying something he going to do than not do it,drop the say and drop the subject and kick in another gear and move on to something else.
How about a cam at ????

Hi Kip,
I will be returning to Blue Ridge possibly in June, if your camera is not installed by then, I will volunteer to install it for you. Special little projects like that is what I do. I enjoy your other cams on a daily basis and would like to help if needed.

So when is the new downtown cam going to be up and running? It's been a long time coming and I'd sure like to view it when I'm not in Blue Ridge.

Thanks for your generous offer Mike, but if I put it off until June I might be tarred-&-feathered by the time you arrive.

Yo Randy, I emailed S. and he's still "GO" with hosting, which I was worried about since it's taken me so long. I've given up on the 'free' truck; can you contact your bucket truck friends? I'll pay within reason. BTW, I guess a 2-person bucket is what we need? A spot for me to work and a spot for the lift op?

Kip,

I have been viewing your web cams since we bought our Cashes Valley cabin in 2001.

I find it interesting that some on this forum consider your cams to be a right, rather than a privilege.

I will continue to wait patiently for you to get the downtown cam up and working once again. It is one of my favorite places to virtually visit when I can't be in Blue Ridge.

Ray

It was mentioned to me by a poster over on tripadvisor.com that their cabin rental company had partnered with a new store under construction on main street and they had plans to set up a new cam.

Just a few comments about the downtown cam - Patience is a virtue...... Lighten up.......and it is not his job or anything. It will be there when it will be there.
