The DNR will begin stocking the Toccoa River (& Rock Creek) with catchable-size trout over the next few weeks. Typically, they wait until March, but because of the low stream flows, the hatchery has begun to get a bit crowded.
In addition the the Rock Creek Watershed, the Toccoa can be fished year-round downstream from the Blue Ridge Reservoir dam to the Georgia-Tennessee state line and upstream from the mouth of Stanley Creek. |
