Murphy votes for alcohol in restaurants!!!

I thought that the North Carolina Mountains was "God's Country". Then why are they voting in alcohol?

Allowing the sale of mixed beverages in hotels, restaurants, private clubs, community theaters and convention centers was approved 251-243. The votes were made official Tuesday morning.

Well Copper Hill has beer, Murphy has liquor, and Ellijay and Jasper have alcohol as well. Seems like our neighbors have caught a clue.
