Default Digging up Main street

I see on the cam that they have once again started some work on main street.I've started calling main street the "Blue Ridge Groove".Will it ever get leveled out?I remember one time I was at the 4-way light at the BP and I wasn't paying attention to the road and hit the dip with my truck before they had filled it in.I know it did wonders for my alignment.

You know, Cabinfever98, I was just about to comment on the state of main street since it's deplorable condition is strikingly evident in the shot from the new downtown cam! Admittedly, I do not contribute to the tax base at the present time(although, I would love to find a job in the area and pay my share), however; where is the money garnered from the taxes on the increased value of property in the area going? Believe me, I am against new roads, wider roads, or anything else which would further change the charm of old Blue Ridge but paleeze isn't there a budget for maintaining a safe and up to date infrastructure consistant with the impact of growth?

I didn't understand a word you said. That must be lawyer mumble jumble.

We need to get you home based in Blue Ridge(so you can organize this town) and get these demands fixed at once and a proper cam for your viewing pleasure.

All kidding aside though,I don't know what the budget plan is for fixing town roads but it would be nice to see main street get a facelift.

This has all been part of the "Streetscape" street/sidewalk beautification program. I don't know too much about it, just 'have heard' that the city's had a hand in dragging it out into very long, messy project.

Oops, I must have lapsed into legalese for a second - sorry about that - I'm trying! What I meant to say was "the city needs to fix the dogone street"!
