Default Rustic area rugs?

Having Big Jim's put in some hardwood floors in our master in the next two weeks, but would like to put a nice rustic, cabinny area rug under the bed. Any good places to purchase locally? I know about The Bear Store and the new place (Charlotte's?) over by the BR Brewery. Have not been to Jerry's Mountain Furniture or Appalachian Home Furnishings in Jasper. Any other suggestions? I don't want to spend a fortune either.

TIA,

Bud

Try Moose Hollow Trading Co. in Murphy. They used to have a store in East Ellijay but it closed over a year ago. It is a great store to visit even if you aren't buying anything. moosehollow.net Stop at Shoebooties Cafe just up the street for dinner.

Home Depot sometimes has reasonably priced rugs as does Lowes. Also try the big furniture store across from Ingles in BR, having a brain drain and cant remember the name.

Yeah I have to go with Steve on this one. Moose Hollow whether you are buying or just browsing is always a nice stop to kill some time walking around. That place is just a treat to wander on threw. But Steve is right on the nice awesome Rugs they have. I do think some of them can be on the pricey side though but they are top quality made Rugs that can take the wear and tear of every day feet.

Remember when it comes to large throw down Rugs...Accept no cheapies...You do get what you pay for when it comes to throw down Rugs. Cheaper ones tend to fade easily and come apart at the edges and corners. Just some food for thought.

I had Big Jim's put in flooring in my cabin. While picking out the flooring, he had some nice rugs right in his showroom and I found a great rustic one that was perfect in my cabin.

I bought another one in a little shop downtown (that Bear Shop) - they had a great selection!

FYI - Charlotte's I believe is part of Jerry's furniture (I think his wife). Jerry did 75% of the furniture in my cabin including a beautiful cedar top wet bar. I found that some of my cabin furniture was cheaper at Jerry's than at Moose Hollow so if you have time, shop around. Jerry will also custom build almost anything - just bring in a photo and wala!

Moose Hollow is great though - probably has everything and anything you could possibly think of and more!

Happy Hunting!
