Default Christmas decorations

When are the Blue Ridge Christmas decorations going to come down? It's almost Valentine's Day? Who does that? Is it volunteers?

It's all volunteer. I think Linda of L&L Beanery handles the volunteer round up. She can give ya the scoop. If you want to volunteer she is the one to talk to.

They are waiting to see when Burger King is going to remove theirs. Once they do then they will remove them. LOL

Maybe the really nasty weather the past couple of months has something to do with the decorations having not been removed. We've had rain, snow, harsh blowing north winds, and maybe a couple days of sun scattered in there somewhere. I don't think I'd want to go volunteer in town to remove decorations in the nasty weather. And because it's all volunteer I believe they do it on a weekend so more help turns out.

Maybe we should leave them up and start a new tourism slogan: Come to Blue Ridge, where it's Christmas all year round! Keep the snow blower out there and take pix of people posed in front of the tree with snow falling! They can wave to their friends on the webcam from the gazebo!

I'm not going to point fingers, because my large artificial tree is still standing proudly in a corner in our great room - it's been too nasty to take it outside and haul it to the basement for storage every weekend since mid January when I got the ornaments off of it. (it's too wide to go down the stairwell so we have to take it out the dining room double doors and then in thru the basement double doors).

Thinking about hanging big red hearts off of it for Valentine's Day!
