Default Paddle Faster I Hear Banjo Music

How many times have you been asked the question, (simply because we live in North Georgia), "do you live near where they filmed Deliverance"? That classic "iconic" movie! I know Kip posted a thread about the Blue Ridge Cabin Concert Series upcoming event but I wanted to throw a thread up too and encourage forum members to get plugged into the series and become a part of these very intimate musical concert events.

If you like good live music and if you've never experienced a "house concert" then you OWE it to yourself to come check it out. Not only are they a great opportunity to get out of the house and enjoy live music and meet new folks/neighbors, you'll also have the opportunity to meet and mingle with musicians/artists in a way that you would not be able to in a large venue, bar, or night club...and besides, in our area, these are few and far between.

Kip and I were working down at the office getting it ready for what we thought was our first event in March, when I received an urgent message from Jack Williams about a cancellation that he and touring partner, Ronny Cox, had received from the Crimson Moon down in Dahlonega that had put a hole in their touring schedule, just two weeks out. Jack and I had been emailing about scheduling a show for him during one of his tours but I wasn't to familiar with the name "Ronny Cox". Jack told me go go check out Ronny's website, which we did, and although this was very short notice, we accepted the offer with great excitement. Be sure to check out the links above!

This is going to be a VERY VERY VERY special Sweetheart Weekend Concert Event that I KNOW you will not want to miss. We are expecting and hoping to have a FULL HOUSE with a waiting list if there are any cancellations. I know Kip would love to have some of the forum members come, so that he can meet you guys, but important too for the support of the musicians and artists we will be hosting! I can't give enough Kudo's to Kip for all of the work that he does for the folk of Blue Ridge and Fannin county with his websites and cameras. Although I haven't posted a lot of stuff on the forum in the past year or so, I do check it often and I see the thanks that you guys give him too.

So instead of fighting the crowds at the Restaurants on Feb 13th, reserve yourself a seat at this event, fix up some desert snack, finger foods, chips and dip, cheese tray, etc... grab a bottle of wine or 6 pack at Ingles, and come meet Ronny & Jack and experience live music in an intimate setting that will leave you eagerly awaiting the next concert. Come show your thanks to Kip by attending, and let's show these artists and musicians the friendliness of the folk of Blue Ridge and Fannin County!

See you there!

Think there'll be any requests for Dueling Banjos?

Better to hear Dueling Banjos than Rocky Top!

Wish we could come out for the first house concert, but we have other plans with friends that evening. Absolutely LOVE house concerts - they are the best! I'm so glad to see someone doing them locally.

Hopefully we'll be free in March to come out and meet everyone.
