We are on the auto fill program with our gas company. Needless to say they got lazy and were not checking our tank as often as they should. Let us run out of gas for the second year in a row. They did bring temp tanks to keep our heat on but it was a pain dealing with them. I get the feeling they are one of the worst offenders for letting customers run out. They claim they had the least issues of any gas company in town but I'm having trouble believing them. Please feel free to post up if this has ahppened to anyone else here. There prices seem to be the highest in town so it may just be time for a change. We have Thompson gas aka Tristate propane now. Who might be a good option?

We have Freeman Gas and they have been very accommodating. We are on auto fill and have never had an issue. And the few times we have any problems at all, they have gone up to our cabin in a timely manner and taking care of things.
You can get your tank swapped out. I believe when we first bought our cabin we had Tri-State but swapped the tanks out to Freeman and have had no problems. The people in the store have always been helpful and friendly. Good Luck! Last edited by GAmountains; 02-03-2010 at 06:56 AM. |

I bought a cabin in Mineral Bluff last september and my realtor recommended Folger's. It turns out that one of their employees, Robert Nicholson, lives at the end of my street. He explained their services and prices and was very helpful. When we came back to have the tank installed, Folgers came out on Saturday at no extra charge and charged us the summer rate for the propane
. My experience with them is limited, but I would highly recommend them.
