Rip-off Report: Tica Cabin Rentals Withheld $3000 rental payments for 3 months and did not pay last two months. Sent insufficient funds checks. Lied about "payments in the mail." Blue Ridge Georgia

Tica Cabin Rentals in North Georgia withheld funds from the cabin owner for three months before sending payments.

Currently, after being over 3 months late again, they refuse to send payments for November and December of 2008 for two cabins. They also have not sent payment for the last check sent us that was returned to us for insufficient funds.

They are a rental management company that rents cabins in Ellijay, Blue Ridge and Helen, Georgia areas as well as in Destin, Florida under the names of Majestic Vacation Rentals, Tica Cabin Rentals and Tica Cabin Rentals of Ellijay.

They will not respond to phone call or email requests.

They are impossible to deal with. It is like punching a mashmallow, you get all kinds of responses except the one that counts, the money that is due to the owner. What effective tactics has anyone used to bring closure to the horrendous situation?

Legal action , take your cabin out of the program.

This is not a plug, but the K-Z Group in Ellijay does a fine job of cabin rental/management. Have dealt with this firm for five years now.

Oh snap! Well, as a cabin owner, I feel bad for those owners that got screwed by these people. I'm glad they're getting what they deserved. Funny that there were 13 complaints by owners, but its when the county doesn't get it's share is when action is taken. May be just my perception. Regardless, hopefully that's the end of the nonsense.

So glad they are finally bringing charges against them. I was so sick of listening to their lies and receiving their bounced checks. luckily we were paid in full after demanding a cashiers check while standing in their office. They should be behind bars and Tica should close. Shame on the workers who continue to lie for them.

Great Great News. Yeah I read it in the Paper as well and was thrilled to finally see them get what has been coming to all their shady business doings for years. I have never had any business with them personally because of all of the bad stuff I have read about them and their Rep was just HORRIBLE here in Blue Ridge.

I felt very bad for you that have been taken advantage of and have lost money from them. Every time I would read more & more stories of these awful business Owners and how they kept doing people wrong the madder and madder I would get. It blew me away that they could keep doing this over and over again and keep getting away with it.

Well FINALLY they are BUSTED and it has caught up to them. It is sad that it has taken this long for them to be stopped after SO MANY complaints were brought up against them. But if there was anyone left in our County that had not heard about them or warned about them before they made the Paper...I am sure everyone knows all about them now. Rep ruined hopefully in the Business world for ever.

We recieved Notice of Capter 7 Bankruptcy Case for Greg and Thelma Coffone. It lists all of their businesses and the date is set for March 15, 2010 in Gainesville GA.

Will there still be a court case for the theft charges?
