I would guess very very soon???
Who cares? If I belonged to a church that would ever condone such a thing, I would consider them throwing me out to literally being a blessing from God!

Life on this earth is too short to belong to a hate-filled church!

The bad news is that the Home Depot site is in the city limits of Blue (do nothing) Ridge. Until Blue Ridge passes the beer and wine ordinance probably nothing will be built on the Home Depot site.

I think the owner might try to get annexed back into the county, then you would see more development at Home Depot.

To improve the city of Blue Ridge, we need to vote out of office: Mayor Greene, Reid Mathis and Wayne Huffman. Re elect Rodney Kendall and John Pearson.

Mayor Greene has had several chances to break a tie vote and has not done it. He claims publicly he "has not had time to evaluate the matter." This has been going on for at least a year. If he is still mayor at 90 years of age, will he still be evaluating??????????

He needs to be put out to pasture. People need to make sure that they remember this come the next election that he is trying to stifle business from thriving in his own town. What kind of Mayor is that?

Seems to me that the present mayor ran unopposed in the last mayoral election. I'm not a city resident and don't get to vote for Blue Ridge issues, so I may be mistaken. But I *think* he was unopposed, and that is why he is there (still). The city limits of Blue Ridge are rather small and finding someone that is a city resident to run against him is the issue.

I believe we have someone to run against Mayor Greene this fall. It is a well respected business person. Once I confirm this I will post the name.

Don't forget we need to oust not only Mayor Greene but Reid Mathis and Wayne Huffman. These three have done nothing for the city.

Re-elect Rodney Kendall and John Pearson!!!!!!!!!!

Then the City can move into this century.

The Home Depot property is in the city limits, so probably no new developments there. The owner of the property would have to be annexed into the county for the beer and wine ordinance to be applicable.

By the way, when I attended the meeting, I parked my car at the old jail. I was concerned about cars being turned over and burned if the beer and wine passed. I also noticed that the chairs in the meeting room were bolted together so they could not be thrown!!
