It failed in the City?? I feel so bad for the little places in town that are struggling; how terrible for them to be overlooked. It is bad enough to have to compete with the big places, but now this too?

It is suppose to be located in the county which is why the developer was petitioning the city council to annex it so that he could woo Kroger or some other place like that to come in and sell beer and wine at the retail level. Other wise he could potentially have a restaurant go in there. However, I think he wants a Kroger since they usually have a package deal that they always are built beside Home Depots.

**Correction** I've been told that that particular site is already in the city limits but the developer was wanting the city to pass the beer and wine because not only could he have Kroger build there but some restaurants were looking at that site and would only come if beer and wine were available.

I wish that someone could inform The Snooze Observer that the printed editorial that raises suspicions about whether Randy Wilkerson, or his company exists is wrong. With just a little snooping and actual reading I found this Florida development article found here: December 2002 Estero Development Report
Estero Community Planning Panel (ECPP) When the ECPP met on December 10th Sean Weeks of SRW Engineering, Randy Wilkerson of Design Builders of Florida and David Jones of David Jones and Associates, presented plans for Estero Palms, a 10-acre site on the south side of Block Lane between River Ranch Road to the east and the site of the new Estero Community Park to the west. The site is just north of Estero High School. Developer Wilkerson proposes a gated community with two cul-de-sacs containing 32 upscale single-family homes situated on lots of approximately 75 x 100 feet. The proposal includes sewage, landscaping, sidewalk and roadway improvements on Block Lane. To be included in the project is a Block Road walkway to the new community park for the estimated 500 current and future residents of Block Lane. In addition to the zoning request the developer is seeking county approval for a development order for phase one of the project. Approval is expected in January at which time infrastructure improvements will be started on the eastern part of the site. If the rezoning is approved by April 2003 the entire infrastructure will be completed by November or December 2003. |

![]() I have to say it again: it really took some guts for Mr. Bruce to change his mind (on his way out) and stand up to the lunatics to put the county's economy first for a change. If you see him in town, give him a back-slap or a hug; he might need it! Quote:

If they are then I would not want to be a part of those type of Churches anyways. That is not the way of a Christian. That is not the way Jesus would handle it. He turned no one away. If a Church would not allow a Member to use their own conscience on decision making and were to force views on members or else...then that is a Church that is not functioning properly. I am a very dedicated Christian that has a very close relationship with my Savior. I am by no means perfect and am learning things from him every day. I support the commissioner's decisions because it is going to help the job market of Fannin county. That does not make me a bad Christian. I feel my relationship with God is very strong and I do not need a Church's judgement of me to tell me other wise. |
