I've heard that the commissioner's meeting was very crowded and disorderly with one individual damning everyone that was for the measures souls, their kid's souls, and their grandchildren's souls to hell.

I heard about that one A&A. This preacher told the commissioners that if they voted it in they would be responsible for every future DUI death and the Almighty will make decades of their offspring pay for this 'sin'. A pretty wicked spell if you ask me, I'd hate to hear what he told them privately. I want to be a member of that church.

Heard from a very reliable source that the license will be $10,000 with a $1000 annual fee. Also it will be limited to establishments which serve food and there will be a limit to the number of licenses issued. This source also confirmed that this measure can be legally overturned, however, if the 4 or 5 establishments which are in the county: Cucina Rustica, GoodFellas, Toccoa Riverside, El Sol, and the Cabin(if it were to re-open) were to apply for this license today (which I'm told they can), then the new commissioners would be hard pressed to have something like that reversed without a big legal nightmare breaking out.

**UPDATE** draft of pouring license regulations can be found here: http://www.fannincountyga.org/draft3.pdf
**UPDATE** they have uploaded a newer draft of the consumption regulations 12/11/2008
**UPDATE** they have just uploaded a third draft of the consumption regulations 12/11/2008

Front page of www.fannincountyga.org

The first draft yesterday was only 39 pages...it keeps growing and growing.....

I'm sure before the county is done with it anything comprised of carbon and casting a shadow will be prohibited from the selling of beer and wine.

Would eating a chicken put me in the same class as those who promote "Male Chicken" (the other word got censored) fighting in our county? Where is the outrage with this practice? It appears to me there is more opposition to having a glass of wine with a meal in Fannin county than there is opposition to me participating in an illegal and inhumane sport. Is it just me??

Here is the way to get the beer and wine ordinance passed in the city of Blue Ridge. The new ordinance would be for: Beer, Wine and male chicken fighting. If all three of these were voted on, it would pass in a heartbeat. At the next Blue Ridge city election we need to vote out the mayor, Reid Mathis and Wayne Huffman. We need to elect people with progressive ideas that can help the town. Re-elect Rodney Kendall and John Pearson as they are trying to help the city!!
