Exclamation Re: Near Beer II!

We still have a long road to haul.
Today, I was challanged at Ingles by the Lady ( big strech here ) behind me in line as to why I thought that I could buy a bottle of wine as it was against the will of God.
The few in this county still drive the backward views for the many.

You should have turned around to her, looked her straight in the eye and said "Is it the will of God for you to be so damn nosy?" All with a polite smile on your face - she would have gotten the idea. Ignorance abounds - even at the Blue Ridge Ingles!

Or weave it into the chit-chat that you're new to the area and you are in the process of opening up an "adult novelties" and movie store in Blue Ridge - then the bottle of wine might not seem too bad to her after all

Just remember though that all these other little north Georgia towns were the same way several years ago, so incoming Atlantans and Floridians do serve a useful purpose in helping bring the area into the 21st century!

Well if so many people want beer or wine in downtown Blue Ridge, then why aren't the city leaders listening to their constituents and business leaders and allowing it?

HI
we are new to the area and were surprised that we had to go over to Copperhill to enjoy a beer with our burger...what's up with that?

Remember...The consumption of alcohol has only been legal for 75 years!! That's not a very long time considering how long this stuff has been around. It goes as far back as biblical times. And even Jesus drank wine Himself!
