Default Bald Eagle

I saw a bald eagle soaring over the lake today.

I see them occasionally. I thought I was seeing things but Tom Striker confirmed it. There is at least one nesting pair on the lake. We found the nest via boat last year; they're tucked up in a cove.

there are actually 2 sets that i know of. One pair lives way up river about 250 yards down from the shoals. another nest i saw last year was near star creek. The ones up river seem to be a little more people friendly and will stick around for pics. These are big majestic birds that need their privacy

Saw another , well maybe the same one up around point 7 friday it was cruzin around picking up the dead bait fish in the river. Pretty awesome thing to see a bird that size swoop down and pick up a fish only 50 feet from the boat.

Brittany and I have seen them while "cruising" in our kayaks on the lake. Amazing creatures!
