So if you call Fannin County's Assessors office, they say it's not them, call qpublic and ask them why you have to pay to get access to public information.
But if you call qpublic, their explanation is much more reasonable, they charge a flat fee for free access for everyone, and Fannin County refuses to pay it. I guess it's not too much for Union or Gilmer to pay, but poor ole Fannin, with all that Lake Blue Ridge tax money can't afford to pay it. But Union has no problem with providing this service to their taxpayers.
It's time to redirect our focus on the county commission.
