I have been a frequent browser on the Fannin County Property Appraisers website for as long as it has been available to the public. I am not a real estate professional, just a part time resident who likes to see what real estate transactions are taking place in her neighborhood. Until February 15th all information was available to the site user at no cost. Since that date, anything beyond a basic search requires a subscription at a substantial cost:

PRICING PER COUNTY:
1 user - $15/mo or $120/yr with no maps (GIS)*
1 user - $20/mo or $180/year with maps (GIS)*
2-4 users - $30/mo or $300/yr**
5-12 users - $60/mo or $600/yr**
12 - 25 users - $120/mo or $1200/yr**
ONE Month Only - a one-time charge of $30

I have visited many property appraiser websites and none of them have ever charged for what is basically public information. What's going on in Fannin??
