I know that my church had a meeting to vote on giving $2000.00 to the "Temperance Movement". I fortunately skipped that meeting. politics and religion do not mix. The churches would be better off to spend their time, talents, and funds to help rebuild the empty stocking funds, the soup kitchens, or donating to various shelters around the area. Why are they fighting tooth and nail against something that is for the most part already here. Seems like they have traded compassion for campaigning.
