Default Re: Temperance Movement Organizes!

If I am reading all of this correctly there are many people who think the restaurant owners will watch everyone to make sure customers dont overindulge in drinking. Are they to be held liable if someone walks out of their restaurant, drives down the street, gets in a accident and God forbid kills or injures someone. What if someone goes home, gets into an argument and hurts or kills someone in their house because of a alcohol related domestic incident? Are the restaurant owners supposed to limit a certain number of drinks to certain people? Are they to diligently watch everyone or ask them to leave when they are impaired? Then what happens? I think we all know. When someone stands up to leave and they are impaired by a alcohol mixed drink or two, which can happen, and they go to their car to drive does the owner have the authority to detain that person? Its most likely to late by that time anyway. For everyone who wants to drink in a restaurant, let beer and wine be the extent of it if you have to have that bad.As I said previously on another blog ,that is more than enough responsibility for people to handle.I understand all the financial difficulties that Blue Ridge and Fannin County are having and it appears that many feel serving alcohol will solve all that. But at what cost?
